Our Core Beliefs
Partnership for Learning believes all students deserve a high-quality education that provides them with opportunities to succeed in college, work and more importantly, life.
- Research indicates that students who start school behind stay behind, so we believe high-quality early learning opportunities are critical to student success.
- We believe in having high state standards that articulate what students should know and do as they move through the K-12 system.
- We believe in assessments to measure student progress in meeting those standards, and accountability for making continuous improvements.
- We believe that every student should graduate from high school with a diploma that signifies they are ready for college and/or the world of work.
- We believe that an informed public dialogue is critical to the success of Washington’s school improvement efforts.
