Ready Washington Launches 2017 'Opt In for Student Success' Contest
This week, the Ready Washington coalition launched a proactive, upbeat awareness campaign called "Opt In for Student Success."
Through a video contest, the campaign uses student voices to explain the value of assessments and being prepared for college, work, and life. The contest will award five $1,000 scholarships to winning students who explain in a 30-second video why they "opt in for a better education."
The contest was first launched last year to provide students with a venue to explain why they are choosing to opt in to state assessments as a tool for their education. To learn more about the campaign, visit OptInWA.com.
