As OSPI sprints to the communications finish line regarding the Class of 2008 (I hope many of you watched it this morning on TVW!) the State Board keeps good pace in the marathon of upcoming initiatives regarding Washington’s diploma and accountability system.
In my inbox this morning was an enewsletter from the SBE encouraging people to share their views on these two key topics in this online survey.
Charged by the State Legislature to create a system of accountability, the SBE is designing a system of shared responsibility (let’s all thank, James Kelly for this much better term) to better support our schools and ensure no student falls through the cracks.
Check out the survey and don’t forget, there’s a public meeting in the U-district tomorrow if you’d like to voice your opinion to the board in person. And if in-person discussions aren’t your cup of tea, you can always email the State Board at sbe@k12.wa.gov.
